UN Timor-Leste offers you a great opportunity to share your stories and get recognized by the world

As United Nations System in Timor-Leste, including WHO and all UN agencies, continue to provide support on COVID-19 global pandemic, we are interested in hearing from Timorese people about the challenges COVID-19 has posed to you and/or your family or community and how you are responding to them. By collecting these stories, we hope to amplify your voices, experiences, and solutions to wider audiences nationally and internationally.

Selected stories will be published on UN Timor-Leste website with your name and disseminated through UN’s national and international social media channels.  We are particularly looking for stories related to the following topics:

  • Actions taken to keep your community safe, specially the elderly, women, children, and the disabled
  • Sharing of resources like food, essential items, clothes, etc
  • How families, neighbours, and communities are staying connected despite physical restrictions
  • Economic impact of COVID-19 on communities i.e. loss of jobs, livelihood opportunities, and businesses
